Salesforce in Claude Consulting
Your people already use Claude to research, write and analyze. With the Salesforce in Claude plugin (part of Claudeforce), built by Salesforce and Anthropic, they can do it on live Salesforce data: preparing for meetings, updating records and running sales workflows without switching tools. Systep plans and implements it securely, so everyone sees only what their Salesforce permissions allow.
- Live CRM context — real-time Salesforce data, not stale exports
- Permissions respected — each user sees only what Salesforce allows
- Prebuilt and custom skills — sales skills ready to go, plus skills for your processes
- Read-only first — write access enabled skill by skill, once trust is earned
- Works with Agentforce — Claude for your people, agents for your customers

What Salesforce in Claude does
Salesforce in Claude connects Claude to your Salesforce org, so your people can work with live customer data in the AI assistant they already use. An admin connects the org once. From then on, each person works within their own Salesforce permissions, using prebuilt sales skills and any custom skills you add.
It works alongside the other ways Claude and Salesforce fit together:
Salesforce in Claude: your teams search, analyze and update Salesforce from inside Claude.
Claude in Agentforce: Claude can power the reasoning behind your Agentforce agents.
Claude in Slack: Claude is the default model behind Slackbot, so the same AI helps your teams in Slack.
What you can use depends on your Salesforce edition, licensing and Claude plan. We confirm this for your org before you commit.
Sales use cases
Your teams can ask for what they need in plain language, the way they would ask a colleague. Claude answers from live Salesforce data, respects each person’s permissions, and can update records when you allow it. There are no reports to build and no tabs to switch between. For example:
Ask Claude
- Find"Which deals over $100k closing this quarter have had no activity in two weeks?"
- Prepare"Brief me for my call with Acme: open opportunities, recent cases and the last three emails."
- Update"Log these call notes, update the next step and create a follow-up task for Friday."
- Draft"Draft a renewal proposal using this account's contract and usage history."
- Summarize"Summarize my team's pipeline changes since Monday."

Reads the data and drafts a proposal

Approved CRM context
The value comes from Claude working on live, approved Salesforce data instead of copied-and-pasted exports. We help you decide which objects, fields and actions Claude can use, for which teams, and whether access starts read-only or includes updates.
| Team | Accounts | Opportunities | Cases | Contracts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sales reps | Read | Update | Read | No access |
| Sales managers | Read | Read | Read | Read |
| Renewals team | Read | Update | Read | Read |
Access and security
Claude sees only what each user can already see in Salesforce. That is a strong default, but it means over-broad sharing rules become visible quickly. Before rollout we review profiles, permission sets, sharing and field-level security, and we agree a policy on which actions can write back to Salesforce.
Configuration
We handle the setup from start to finish, so Salesforce in Claude is secure, useful and adopted from day one, not just switched on. That includes:
Integration feasibility
Not every org is ready on day one. We check:
Salesforce edition, API access and licensing
Your Claude plan and your agreement with Anthropic
Data quality in the objects your teams will query
Whether you need the Salesforce in Claude plugin, a Salesforce MCP server, or both, and whether your org meets the API requirements
